Alfa Furniture – Refunds, Returns & Consumer Law Policy
At Alfa Furniture, we are committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer
service. This policy outlines your rights and obligations with respect to returns, refunds, and remedies,
and incorporates requirements under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
By purchasing from Alfa Furniture, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act
2010 (Cth), Schedule 2 – Australian Consumer Law (“ACL”). These rights apply in addition to any
voluntary warranties or policies offered by Alfa Furniture.
You are entitled to the following remedies:
1.1 Major Failures
A product has a major failure if:
• It is unsafe;
• It is significantly different from its description, sample, or demonstration model;
• It is substantially unfit for its common purpose and cannot be easily fixed;
• It is unfit for a purpose that you made known to us before purchase, and cannot be easily fixed;
• It is not of acceptable quality and cannot be repaired within a reasonable time.
If a product has a major failure, you are entitled to:
• A full refund, or
• A replacement, or
• Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by the failure.
1.2 Minor Failures
If a product has a minor failure (a problem that can be fixed within a reasonable time):
• Alfa Furniture may elect to repair the product within a reasonable timeframe.
• If repair is not carried out within a reasonable time, you may request a replacement or refund.1.3 Compensation
You may also be entitled to compensation for any loss or damage suffered as a result of a product
failure, where such loss was reasonably foreseeable.
1.4 No Exclusion of Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify your statutory rights under the ACL.
2. Change of Mind Returns
Alfa Furniture is not required by law to provide refunds or exchanges if you change your mind, make a
wrong selection, or find the item cheaper elsewhere.
However, at our discretion and as a gesture of goodwill, we may offer:
• An exchange, or
• Store credit,
provided that:
• The item is unused and in new condition;
• The item is returned in its original packaging, with all accessories included;
• The request is made within 14 days of delivery;
• Proof of purchase (receipt, tax invoice, or order confirmation) is provided.
Custom-made, personalised, or special-order items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are
faulty.
3. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please notify us within 7 days of delivery by emailing
alfafurniture@live.com.au with your order number and supporting information (e.g., photographs).
Depending on the circumstances, Alfa Furniture will arrange for:
• A repair,
• A replacement, or
• A refund.We may require the return of the product for assessment before a remedy is provided.

We recommend using tracked postage or courier services for all returns. Alfa Furniture is not

• Faulty/Damaged/Incorrect Products: Alfa Furniture will cover the cost of return shipping.
• Change of Mind or Non-Faulty Returns: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
6. Proof of Purchase
All returns and warranty claims must be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase, such as:
• Receipt,
• Tax invoice, or
• Order confirmation email.
7. Exclusions
The following items are not eligible for return or refund unless required by law:• Custom-made, personalised, or special-order products,
• Items damaged through misuse, abuse, or neglect,
• Items not used in accordance with care instructions,
• Items returned outside the specified return timeframe.
8. Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
• Alfa Furniture’s liability for goods purchased is limited to the remedies outlined in this policy and
under the ACL.
• Alfa Furniture is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your
use of the products.
